I am proud to announce that The Humboldt Redwoods Marathon has signed on as a Bronze Level Partner. By partnering with Marathon Investigation, The Humboldt Redwoods Marathon is demonstrating that they have a commitment to integrity and no tolerance for cheating. MarathonInvestigation.com will work cooperatively with the Humboldt Redwoods Marathon to analyze race results as necessary.

The 2017 Humboldt Redwoods Marathon will be held on October 15th. The race starts 45 miles south of Eureka, California along The Avenue of The Giants Highway. The course is scenic and shaded.

  1. This is good news; more marathons should get on board. From the looks of their course, it should be easy to monitor for cheaters (especially with the first out-and-back being closed). It seems to be a nice journey; sadly I will probably never make it way out west to sample their wares. Keep up the good work!

  2. Six Rivers Running Club puts on an amazing event for The Avenue of the Giants. I’m sure this race is equally well run and organized.

  3. Derek,

This web site seems to spontaneously refresh from time to time when I’m composing a comment. I think this happens when another comment is being posted, and this refresh eliminates my unfinished comment, so I have to start over.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

  4. Robert F,

I’ve had that happen, most recently yesterday, on the latest story. I think in my case it’s from using the right/left arrow keys while editing — my laptop touchpad is supersensitive and my text cursor ends up moving in the middle of typing 🙁 — but a page refresh from incoming comment might do that too..

I found that if I scrolled back to the original “Leave a Reply” after the comment I was replying to, and clicked “Leave a Reply” again, my text so far was still in the reply field. It happened multiple times while attempting a single reply, but my text was always there when I went back. If it occurs again, give this a shot; might save a lot of re-typing. Good luck.
