Truth Revealed: Tommy Fury Did Not Finish the T100 Triathlon

Despite public celebration and media coverage, results reveal Fury failed to ride the full 80 km bike leg.

Background

On August 31, 2025, professional boxer and reality TV figure Tommy Fury took part in the T100 Triathlon World Tour on the French Riviera. The event featured a 2 km swim, 80 km bike ride, and an 18 km run.

Fury was celebrated at the finish line alongside fiancée Molly-Mae Hague and their daughter, Bambi. He drew extra attention to his bike helmet, decorated with his daughter’s name in gold lettering, describing it as his “lucky charm.”

“He completed the 80 km biking section wearing a helmet emblazoned with his daughter’s name in gold stickers, dubbing it his ‘lucky charm.’”

Coverage from mainstream outlets and Fury’s own Instagram post — “I left it all out in the French Riviera. 100KM triathlon on 10 days training…” — gave the impression that he had successfully finished the full triathlon.

But the timing records tell a very different story.

Quotes from Tommy Fury on Finishing

“The T100 was amazing, honestly, I felt like towards the end it was like I was just in my own world… it’s unbelievable that the human body can do marvellous things when you put your mind to it.”
— TRI247

“Just get it done, you know, forget about everybody else. I’m not in competition with anybody else. This isn’t my sport. I’m a fighter. I’m coming here just to compete against myself.”
— TRI247

“Do you know what the best thing about the course is that my missus and my baby are here. I had no idea they was going to be here. It was the best thing I could have wished for while I was on that course, so I’m happy they’re out here and it was for them.”
— The Sun

These statements show that Fury intended to convince the public that he had endured and completed the entire T100.

Bike Splits Analysis

The official results from Sportstats.ca reveal glaring inconsistencies.

  • Up to the 48 km mark, Fury’s splits reflected steady riding, with speeds between 24–27 km/h.
  • After 48.1 km, the next recorded time was the finish at 80 km — with no intermediate checkpoints captured.
  • This gap creates a segment that would require a speed of ~120 km/h, which is impossible on a bicycle.

The absence of six expected split points shows that Fury did not ride the full bike distance. The timing system did not malfunction — it simply never recorded him covering those portions of the course.

Visual Pace Analysis

The graph below makes the issue even clearer. The consistent pace through the first half of the ride suddenly jumps to an unrealistic spike at the end.

What This Means

The data leaves little room for doubt: Fury did not complete all required bike loops. He crossed the finish line and celebrated as though he had completed the triathlon, but the missing splits and impossible segment speed prove otherwise.

Final Thoughts

Fury does not deserve recognition for completing the T100 Triathlon. The evidence makes it clear he failed to ride the entire 80 km bike leg yet still claimed credit for finishing the event. That is cheating.

While this race was not connected to qualification standards, the principle is the same: allowing athletes to take credit for performances they didn’t earn damages the credibility of the sport.

Almost worse than the cheating in itself, is falsely proclaiming that you finished and pulling in your family to your con. There is nothing wrong with failing. There is everything wrong with not owning your failures and lying about your accomplishment. This is a slap in the face to all the competitors who finished, as well as those that fell short gracefully.
